SKILLED TRADESMAN

  • We’re seeking a skilled Carpenter / Site Supervisor to join our dynamic team. This role offers the chance to work on diverse residential and commercial projects while contributing to the local community. You’ll enjoy a balance of hands-on carpentry work and leadership responsibilities, Helping to manage projects and support junior staff. 

    • Carpentry Work: Execute all aspects of carpentry, including framing, decking, roofing, window installations, and interior fit-outs, maintaining exceptional attention to detail. 

    • Site Supervision: Manage daily site operations, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently, safely, and to a high standard. 

    • Project Coordination: Organize schedules, plan tasks, and coordinate material deliveries to keep projects on track. 

    • Client and Team Relations: Build strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and team members through effective communication. 

    • Mentorship: Train and guide apprentices and junior team members to support their professional growth. 

    • Professional Image: Represent Whitbuild professionally with a neat appearance and branded attire. 

  • About You: 

    You are a qualified Carpenter (Cert III) with a passion for high-quality work and team leadership. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are committed to personal and professional growth. 

    Key Skills and Qualifications: 

    • Essential: 

    • Cert III in Carpentry (or equivalent). 

    • Proven experience in carpentry and construction. 

    • Own a reliable set of carpentry tools. 

    • Valid driver’s license and reliable transport. 

    • Strong communication and problem-solving skills. 

    • Focus on quality and attention to detail. 

    • Desirable: 

    • Cert IV in Building and Construction or a builder’s license. 

    • Certifications such as Working at Heights and a White Card. 

    • Supervisory experience and leadership skills. 

    • Comfortable using technology for scheduling and project updates. 

1st to 4th Year Apprentices

  • We are seeking for a motivated Apprentice to join our team and grow their skills in the building and construction industry. This role is ideal for someone with 1 to 4 years of hands-on experience who is eager to learn, work hard, and contribute to a variety of projects.

    • Assist tradespeople and supervisors in daily construction tasks

    • Perform basic construction duties such as measuring, cutting, assembling, and site preparation

    • Operate tools and equipment safely and efficiently

    • Maintain a clean and organized worksite

    • Follow safety procedures and company guidelines at all times

    • Support the team with materials handling and general labour tasks

    • 1 to 4 years of experience in the building or construction industry (apprenticeship or similar role)

    • Basic knowledge of construction tools, materials, and processes

    • Good communication skills and ability to work in a team

    • Willingness to learn and take direction

    • Commitment to workplace safety
